I have problem to access my router from external.I use to access port 80 to reach the router and to do some settings, but now it says that the server does not answer.I have also several port forwarding set up in the router and most of them are working, but when I use port 83 from external to reach a service in my net, I also get the reply that the server does not answer. I tried to changed to port, both on the service and in the router to 8081, but I got the same result. I have now changed it back again to 81.Other services works, e.g. 8089, 8088, 21, 8090, 8091.port 81 works from the LAN-side and the router is accessable from the LAN-side using 192.168.1.1

Thanks for the prompt reply RAYDEN Since I am not at my Casa now, I can not really be sure about the router I have, but I think it is a Comtrend 536x. AS I wrote in my earlier note, I was earlier able to login on my router from external on port 80, but not any longer. I was also able to reach a service on my LAN by the open port 81, which is open in the router and forwarded to the internal IP on port 81. I have several services on my LAN and these works perfectly. On the same IP address, the service on port 81 runs on, I also have a ftp-server running, which I can reach on port 21 without any problem. So these are my problems:1. To login on my router from external2. To reach my service on port 81. I can reach the service from the internal LAN. I have also tried to disabled all firewalls and antivirus software. No change 😞

Understand, but english is today the common IT language all over the world, so why do not you not accept it? I have been working in the IT business for over 40 years and been working over the whole world. Everywhere it works to communicate in english, event in China, Japan, France and Germany, but not here. Strange.

My router does not support it, but I run DNS Exit Ipudater from my computer which is on all the time, but for some reason, it did not started after the power failure.
I think it should be easy for Movistar to get the WAN IP and add it together with all other information presented in Alejandra.

Hello pag0300 ,

I don’t think there’s any way to see your public IP address without being on your home network. Probably you will need to ask any moderator to help you to get it.

Anyways, for the next time, if your current installed router supports it, use the Dynamic DNS service. This way, you won’t need to remember your IP address.

Yes, but the problem is that I am not in Las Playitas at my house, i.e. I need to find my assigned WAN IP address from outside of my router. As I mentioned I tried Alejandra where most of the information from my router can be found, but not the WAN IP address. Why? Any other way to find it?

Hi again,
I just run into another problem. There has been a power failure in my house in Las Playitas. WHen the power went back, everything was started OK, but my router was asigned another WAN IP address. I tried to find the new IP address in the Alejandra pages, but I can see and modify everything there but I can not see the actual WAN IP address for my router.

Is there any way to get actual the WAN IP address?

I have tried to get fiber optics but it is not supported in my area ( Las Playitas, Tuineje, Fuerteventura) is the answer I got from Movistar. As soon it is available, I will certainly go for it.

Congratulations pag0300 seems to be fixed.
But one tip you might think about a change to fiber if available in your area with this you will get better performance on LAN and remote work as well change to network disk instead of FTP, thus last is very annoying when works on larger files also extremely slow.
